Bee Electronic Machines Limited (Bee) was founded on August 19, 1981 by Late Shri Krishna Kumar Bhargava, a pioneer in the Electronics industry.

Its first manufacturing plant was established in Tarapur, Maharashtra. The Company had a technical collaboration with M/s. Canon Inc., Japan for manufacturing Black & White Analog Photocopier machines in India. It was amongst the first Companies to manufacture the Photocopiers in India.

The Company achieved deemed public status in 1988 and brought forth its Public Issue in 1989. The issue was oversubscribed 21 times.

The Company was amongst the first to receive a “Letter of Intent” to manufacture Fax machines in India. As such, the Company began assembling fax machines in 1991.

Direct marketing activity started in 1992 and the Company started building a network of branches and dealers to market and service the Canon machines directly all across the country. It was the first Company to launch the full color Copier in India.

1993 saw a huge surge in the turnover of the Company and also its market share. The Company was doing exceedingly well and the OEM plant at Daman was awarded the ISO9002 certification.

However, there were changes happening with the liberalization policy being promoted by the then Government. And seeing the vast market before it, Canon was encouraged to embark on its own.

The Company in order to face the challenging “open” market had to expand its product offerings by introducing the Lanier brand of Photocopiers in India. Lanier was the then second largest supplier of machines in the US. In the year 2000, the Company entered into a tie-up with M/s. Sharp Business Systems India, for marketing and servicing the Sharp brand of Photocopiers in India. The Company became tech savvy by introducing the latest range of digital and multi function devices under the brand of SHARP.

Presently, the Company is operating in the area of Mumbai, Maharashtra and marketing Canon, Muratec and Konica Minolta/ Develop brands of MFD’s. The core strength remains in its ability to give it’s vast experience in the Industry to its partnering Companies and continued loyalty, support and care to its base of customers established over 3 decades of being in the Industry.
